Signs he's just not into you?

My friends, in my opinion, being messed around by a guy who plays hot and cold...She asked how to know when he's JUST not that into you. I've told her my opinions but I'm sure she's not listening to me...Guys....What, in your opinion does it mean when he's just not that into you?
