micmak, if had been awake at the time of your post would have mentioned that it is a wonderful film, fantastic acting, and it's not all silent, the music score is brilliant, and it's my favourite film in a very long time. It has nothing at all to do with being back in the the days of silent films, it's a love story between the two leads, and a love letter to the golden days of cinema. A gem
Maybe Transformers 3 should have won since that has plenty of loud noises, is in colour and is present day - thus clearly a better film than The Artist.
oops my mistake, shows how much I was interested in the programme, well
I shall not be going to the cinema as I am not a film buff, last time I was at
the cinema was 1966.
been planning on watching the artist for ages, we're going on wednesday, just hope the new found hype won't mean it's chocker!
We're watching the Muppets after that!
anyone else notice that the red haired actress from Drive (I think it was) was sitting with the geek forensic scientist from body of proof?
Wasn't Stephen Fry amazing though?
