Tink, I think you have to go out and by loads of stuff that is bad for you and add it to your pure homemade ones to make it taste like the ones you buy
the ones at the smoothie bar in town all seem to have beetroot in them have you tried that tinks?
not sure this is actually classed as a smoothie but a chopped ripe mango whizzed up with a few tbsps of natural yoghurt and poured over ice cubes is gorgeous.....guess you could chuck whatever else you fancied in with it ....
Usually sweetened with syrup I think... also commercial blenders may be better at getting every last lump out
i make my own mango, peach, apricot sometimes using frozen mango and peaches but fresh apricots that works well especially if you blend it with some mango sorbet
I always make mine with yogurt,a small banana, and frozen fruit ...mango and pineapple,or raspberries and strawberries. They come out really thick-and there is not a noticeable banana taste if you don't like banana.
I make amazing smoothies, frozen fruit, banana, a thick yoghurt, a little double or single cream and a little ice cream add milk to thin it down as required.
I make quite a few smoothies and use whatever I have in at the time. Any fruit whizzed up then add either orange juice, milk or just yoghurt. The home made ones are much healthier than the bought ones even the `Innocents`
