Do you think that Bobby Brown has to take some of the responsibility for Whitney Houstons drug addiction and untimely death?

Indirectly - but only insofar as any of us take any responsibili ty for anything that those close to us do - which is very little.
Adults do what they wish to do - good or bad. In Whitney Houston case it was singing and drugs, and she did both of those with varying degrees of success.

Me too. Andy and Mark. ^ Great versions both, of a lovely song.
Ms Houston had a talent though, which I always thought got lost in gallumphing over-production that throttled any emotional range out of it. Shame she never did work with Quincy Jones - that might have got better out of her.
I also agree with ummm's initial response too, OP. And nobody knows what really goes on inside relationships except the people in them. Short of that knowledge, plus a coroner's verdict also, I find it difficult to make a linear connection that goes Whitney/addict/Bobby's responsible/drugs lead to death to be honest.

ummm in about 98 'brown' came to our town big time, unfortunately no one knew just how bad a drug it was. All but me and my closest friend in the group tried it and got hooked and have ruined their lives, and some are no longer alive. The only reason i didnt was i would never let my family down like that. In whitneys case i think fame was more to blame than bobby.
i think he's a recovering drug and drink addict. At end of day the only person than can help any addict is themselves, and she just couldnt do it or realise what she had without it. A so called mate offered me it once all burnt up on spoon ready. I told her she could do what she wanted but not to dare ever ask me again if she knew what was good for her.
Tough question as we do not know just when she had started taking drugs, she could have taken drugs before she met him, also has already been said we are all responsible for our own choices, brown has not been in her life for sometime, one thing though he can feel pretty ashamed of himself for all the domestic abuse he caused her in her life with him.
I'm sure I remember a newspaper article from at least five years ago, the gist of it being that Whitney had a (then secret) habit a long time before she met BB. When she did meet him, he was an easy route for her to take, both because he had a well established supply of drugs and also because his bad boy image would be an easy explanation of her habit if ever it came to light.
Having said that, I believe that even if he did introduce her to drugs, she chose to take them, so she is ultimately responsible.
