Does anybody know if there is such a thing as a timer you can put in plug sockets to make appliances come on at a certain time? I know there is for lamps and lights but didn't know if there was ones for other things?

yes they are available i think i even saw them in the pound shop so not too expensive
What did you need it to do?
justineo i lost you what happened think the thread was deleted come back how old r u be quick shooting off home soon xxx
Personally I wouldn't get one from them pound shop. They are easily available at places like B&Q, you can get electrical ones or more mechanical ones.

Due to the potential for a fire hazard with unattended electrical goods (which I assume is why you might want one) I'd make sure you got a good one and make sure all your fuses are of the correct ampage.

i was not impying they should get one from the pound shop only the fact that they were relativly inexpensive
They sell them in Wilkinson's.

Thank you so much to everybody! It's for my new hefty dehumidifier (as mentioned in yesterday's home and garden) - want it on for some of the day but not all.

Think I'll pop into B&Q later!

Thank you
