I have a 14 yr old who has Asthma, which flares up from time to time, just uses his blue inhaler when needed, which isn't that very often.
The last couple of days has been bad and today I got him to the doc's who prescribed prednisone for him, he took this about 2.30 this afternoon, 6 tabs at 5mg, when would it start to kick in? Also he has had 6puffs thro his chamber every two hrs, but says its not making much difference? he seems cheerie enough tho.any other things i shld be doing.
Thankyou

It came back in later life and I now use The blue Ventolin inhaler. Perhaps it might help to use a Serentide inhaler (Take 2 puffs twice a day and rinse out the mouth afterwards) This is used as a preventative not a method of relief
