Why are the majority of jobs advertised on their silly computer touch-screens adverts for agencies(most of which are either out of date or have been taken)When you do manage to secure work if it lasts for three weeks you are considered lucky! What a pitiful state of affairs...

I couldn't agree more - also if you already have a trade (for example) and you look for "similar" in your area - you can be given a list of vacancies in Inverness even if you live in South Wales and vice versa. Of course you dare not point the uselessness of the set-up or you are classed as being "aggressive"! On the point of the 3 week contract - you can guess whose job is being safeguarded - job centre staff - who really don't do anything at all nowadays.
I stopped using the jobcentre website when I was looking for work because the vast majority of vacancies are from agencies. There are plenty of other job sites that are worth a try that offer vacancies from proper companies.
