Wood stain and varnish.
I have bought a secondhand solid wood pine kitchen table and chairs which I am having sanded down ,stained and revarnished.
I have looked at several stains ,varnishes online.
Ronseal do a Antique Pine.On coming to look at varnishes ,these too come in Antique Pine.
Do I need to use both or will just the varnish do?
Has anyone used Ronseal Antique Pine and can confirm that the colour is not an orangy one.
Plus any general advice on this subject much appreciated.
Thank you

I promise you, you won't be disappointed if you use wax instead. I'd go for plain "Briwax"

I agree with Builder and sasskins, I did a pine dresser with Ronseal Antigue Pine years ago, it came out bright orange and we had to sand it all off, what a mess. Since then I have used nothing other than Briwax, the more you polish it the better it gets, lovely mellow finish. I used the light brown, but they have a much bigger selection now as you will see when you look at Builders link - rosy
