2. Pat Glenn,weightlifting commentator: "And this is Gregorivia from Bulgaria...I saw her snatch this morning and it was amazing"
3.harry carpenter at the Oxford-cambridge boat race 1977: "Ah, isnt that nice. the wife of the cambridge president is kissing the Cox of the Oxford crew"
4.US PGA Commentator : "One of the reasons that Arnie is playing so well is that before each tee shot,his wife takes out his balls and kisses them. Oh my god!! What have I just said?"
5. A female news anchor who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed but didnt, turned to the weatherman and said" So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?" Not only did HE have to leave the set but half the crew did too, because they were laughing so hard!
Poor Ted Lowe "The pink is next to the green" in black and white? That m makes perfect sense. The green is still on its spot and the grey ball next to it is, in fact, the pink.
Wasn't is Richard Dimbleby who, commentating on the funeral of George Vi, said, "And the main body of the procession is coming into view". Took me a while, body and funeral.
This really happened in our house at Christmas ..... I opened a Christmas card and said to OH - that's nice, its from Fat and Prank ....... we have laughed ever since!
Apparently a recent competitor in Weakest link, being asked what the loosely dressed young things of the 1920's were called that rhymed with clapper, replied,
"Slapper" (ans "Flapper").
