Evening all I don't usually post here but would welcome advise. My boss sent me an email today in capitals which I take as shouting. It really upset me and basically says tell me what you can do not what you can't . I feel I work really hard but that it's not good enough. Basically he said if I don't agree with his work ethic I can get look to move to another section. So it's his way or the high way. Is there anything I can do I'm so worried I can't sleep

Along with texts, emails are a curse on effective communication.

Resolve to go and talk to your boss tomorrow. You might find that your problem can be resolved. (As long as you stay calm it can't be made any worse, so you've got nothing to lose).

Then make yourself a mug of cocoa (or pour yourself a large Scotch!) and go to bed.

Are you both in the same building or on the same floor, and have you upset him or done something wrong?

Not a very nice way of communication with you, IMO!
My boss can't use the computer and when he sends emails they are usually in capitals with no punctuation. He knows what he is saying but sometimes that is not how the emails read.

Talk it over with your boss when you can.
People who are new to computers don't often realise that using capitals means "shouting" I didn't know for ages, and my niece still sends texts like that - its very silly for people to go on about it being insulting, its just a different way to type.
Actually easier to type in capitals as you don't have to use the Shift key.
you need to print this e mail out ..and ask to see boss to discuss the contents...
