An earlier question has prompted me to think about getting rid of my 10 year old mattress.

Thing is, I am mortally embarrassed about the condition of it. How am I ever gonna get rid of it. It wont fit in my car and even if it would I couldn't get it out at the tip in public. And for the same reason I could not pay anyone to take it away for me.

I guess I will just have to wrap it in something, although what?

And that would just look weird, right?

seriously.. call the council.. a tenner or so will get rid... they don't give a toss what state it is...
If you are in my area (South Shropshire) my company can remove it for a very small charge.

Could you just not set fire to it?
Why not buy a cheap mattress cover and pop it o?. That's what I did when we had to get rid of youngest Junior O's vomitty mattress.
What an ingenious and devious bunch!
buy a new one frm Dreams, they do a recycle service and give you a big green cover, they come and collect when they deliver new one, will all be covered up when they take it away.
