if it is a national book token the credit is vlid for 2 years from the load date but if you use it or even just check the balance within that 2 years it re-sets the validity to 2 years again.
I wonder if the initial purchase was a cash discount price only and a full price (17.75) was charged against the token or the shop had a charge for processing tokens due to the delay in getting the cash for them
i didn't even know you could still buy book tokens
never heard of that rowan, if it's a national book token it can only be spent in person and possibly weecalf bought a giant bar of chocolate with it and has just forgotten. (the national book token giftcards can be spent on anything)
There are so few independant booksellers its finding somewhere to use one that is the problem
bednobs some independant stores still sell paper book tokens but most book tokens are pre-loaded electronic giftcards
