Will Blasphemy Laws Be Reintroduced?

I've recently moved into a flat that doesn't have access to a rooftop tv aerial...i bought a cheap standalone one and it works OK but certianly far from perfect. Whilst i'm aware that buying a freeview digibox won't improve my picture and give it digital quality i was going to buy one anyway. However, it's recently been brought to my attention that weak, stand alone, cheap aerials are unable to detect the transmission needed to receive the digital viewing...is this true?! How could i overcome this without getting cable or a rooftop aerial?

I would think that as you can't pickup a 'perfect' analogue signal then the chances of you getting a digital one will be slim.
First off, if you haven't already, make sure you can get freeview but clicking here and entering your postcode.
If when you get the box you can't get a picture, there are a few things you can do to improve reception like buying an appropriate signal booster box, and perhaps an internal ariel dedicated to digital tv.
