Did anyone see photos of Dawn French today?

Did anyone see the photos of Dawn French today in the newspaper? I didn't recognise her, she has lost loads of weight but in the photos shown today I actually think they made her look so much older, don't know if it was the way the photos were taken. I think Dawn is great but wonder if she actually looked better when she was a 'fuller' lady. I covered the news article and just showed a few people the photo asking if they recognised who it was, someone actually said the woman from the 'Krankies' before I revealed it was Dawn. Everyone was as gobsmacked as I was! The photos today did not do her any justice. Do you think she looks better now or as she was?

ok so she is aging!....we all do!......shows much more when youn lose weight too...but if she's more healthy then, worth it!.......

I agree with smowball. It looks like Dawn isn't wearing make up either and that makes a big difference.

A face lift will sort that out. If you lose a lot of weight quickly you can be left with a great deal of surplus skin which would need a tummy tuck to get rid of. The diet which she did - Lighter Life - is really drastic. You are only allowed to eat the food supplied by Lighter Life and I believe it is only around 400 calories a day. You have to be really determined to keep to it. I know I wouldn't be able to do it. Haven't got enough will power. My daughter did it - you have to be in good health and be a few stone overweight, not just a small amount.

she didnt do the lighter life diet star, I think she just cut out the carbs a bit

I don't think it's true no.

The thing is Dawn IS older from when we last saw pictures of her. I don't recall seeing recent(ish) pictures of her before her weight loss. Couple that with the fact she's not glammed up for the cameras, then yes she's not going to look like she's on a catwalk, and to be blunt- who would on a windy days walk on a beach?

If you lose weight then you risk looking older as the fat goes from your face and you appear more drawn. It's a personal choice where one considers they have got the right balance between one thing and the other.
