just took of my films,sports etc and just keeping the basic package,but i really love the history channel,does anyone know if its in the basic package.

son has freeview in his room and he doesnt get it
Maybe it's a different one we get- it used to be called the History Channel and I think it's called Yesterday now. Channel 12 or 13 I recall

at the moment i get it on channel 530
Factor30 is thinking of UKTV History (which is now called 'Yesterday') and is completely separate to the History Channel.

There doesn't seem to be a Sky package which is actually called 'Sky Basic'. I assume that you've got 'Sky Entertainment', which consists of these channels:

To get the History Channel you'd need to upgrade to Sky Entertainment Extra (for an additional £5 per month). That would add these channels:
