Anyone know if alloy wheels that came from a Ford Escort (205 x 50 x 16) would fit a Peugeot 306? Presently has 195 x 55 x 15.

Thanks.

Ford expert son says, yes they will fit, but offset may be wrong. The offset of the Ford will be approx ET38 but the Puegeot 306 may be nearer low twenties e.g. ET24.

But he has to say that PUG wheels on a FORD would be well dodgy

I did a similar thing with my old Honda Civic recently. Your best bet to save a lot of lifting and jacking is to take a plastic hub cap around the scrapyard to see if the stud pattern matches. Do a little test drive with bigger or wider tyres to make sure they don't rub, especially with people in the back on uneven ground. On some alloys you can knock out the centre cap so you don't get the wrong logo for your manufacturer.
