Is there an easy way to speed up your browser?

I use Chrome. Occassionally it slows down and you know the scenario...the little blue wheels start spinning followed by the pop-down saying do you want to kill the page or wait? Any solutions?

more powerful computer or a better service provider come to mind. Failing that, if you lift off the lid of your PC, how many hamsters do you see on the wheel?

Like I said to somebody earlier on, jno, I already knew the answer to a question I posed, earlier. You close any tabs that are not in use, exit the browser and click on it again! I just like to see how many witty answers people can come up with! It amuses me.

I'm so used to people coming up with novel, witty replies that the edges get a bit blurred at times. Anyway, if someone also came up with the solution I put forward, I'm quite happy with that.

we don't normally come up with witty replies to technical questions though, those of us who can usually give sensible practical answers.
