Warning: Fedex/UPS Invoice
13 Answers
I have just received an email purportedly from Fedex telling me a package couldn't be delivered. An invoice was attached which looked innocuous, as it was a Word document.
I "Snoped" it and found out it contained a virus.
If you receive one, delete it straightaway.

I buy a lot from eBay where sellers use lots of different carriers, so it is possible if you do that you could be fooled into calling - and someone not au fait with this type of thing would almost likely to be fooled because they look so real
There are 1000's sent each day so even just a small % believing it could make these scammers a lot of money

Snopes.com is a site that checks out urban myths etc that "do the rounds". They tell you if they are fase or true.

I had an email from 'Royal Mail' stating that a parcel could not be delivered owing to being 'incorrectly addressed' and asking that the attachment, entitled 'Copy Invoice' be opened. I deleted it......
Nothing had been ordered.
How did they know the address was incorrect? It didn't make sense! They normally stick a card through the door.
Why would the 'Royal Mail' have my email address?
