Is it your friend's dog in the final picture? Both my hounds were half GSD and were orange with a black muzzle - I have a soft spot for this type of mutt.

That guy is going to need his own appointment for a bad back.
Last time we went my terrier tried to bolt as somebody opened the front door.
Vet scooped him up and said "nice try".
