Crafty Dusty or Jacques?
My friends mother passed away a few months ago and as the pall barers brought the coffin in very slowly the Dusty version was playing through the speakers... sooo sad & moving.

Jemisa - I'd have been in pieces!

Anyone who can convey this much love and hurt through a song has got what it takes in my view.

It;s the understated emotion that gets you - a universe away from Whitney foghorning and wobbling her lips fit to take off!

Any X-Factor auditionee who wants to sing a Witless song should be made to listen to, and watch this first.
lol Dave, Dusty.................we shared the same eye make-up as well.

triggerhappy - popular support does not equate with talent - if that were the case, then The X-Factor would be a better programme than NYPD Blue, and Westlife would be better musicians than Jeff Buckley.

Of course Whitney Houston was popular - and indeed talented - I have always taken strong issue with her technique of confusion volume with emotion, and tonsular trick-cycling with empathy.
