Ka battery

My 2001 Ka's battery has packed up. The user guide says it must be replaced by a lead/calcium battery (marked Ca) ~ that no other type is to be used. But I can't find any lead/calcium ones. What to do?

I worked for a Ford dealer for 18 years and we replaced the battery in the Ford KA with an ordinary lead acid battery which is used in all makes of cars. AS suggested see your local Ford dealer for a replacement.

If you have an auto elect in your area, go to them Capt the will advise you, but for your sake do not go to K.F. you will end up having a service, new tyres, brakes, exhaust.

In answer to jth's "correction" - the battery you want is indeed a lead/calcium battery. It's a lead-acid type where calcium has been added to the electrodes to enhance performance. They are available at most car battery suppliers.

as said , just a straight forward everyday car battery, just need to get the correct size..

Is there a local Partco spares supplier near you? They will do you a battery at a good price.
