I've just read Ann's post on glue. Does anyone remember the Banda copiers? I was at work one night (hospital) and was convinced the mortician had been in my office - I could SMELL him.
After much frantic phoning to check, and strong denials from the mortuary, one of the nursing staff pointed out that the smell was coming from the Banda copier.

Yes, we had one at school. It was great getting worksheets as everyone starting sniffing them.
I loved the smell of Snopake...............
The proper magic markers that takes me back to my school days
hectograph jelly anyone?
Our school used this.

If you had one of the first copies it was really clear, but if you had the last one it was so pale that you couldn't read it.
Aah, I loved the smell of that. My dad was a teacher (not at my school) and he used to bring spare copies of stuff home for my sister and I. I just used to sit and sniff them for hours :)
As an ex teacher i well remember frantically running off worksheets 10 mins before lessons started.
Hi anne - did you see the answers re: banda machines last night when Buenchico and I were reminiscing. We rather took took over Tinkerbell's recipe thread which was a bit rude of us but I don't think she minded :)
There are pics of the old banda machines on there.
