How do taxis charge

for the journey they do.? Reason for the query --- my friend wants a taxi to take her from A to B the cost is £10 .Her sister now wants to go as well, so will that be £10 for the two of them , or £10 each person?
Am not able to help her -- because I have no idea.So anyone please.

Sometimes they add an extra two quid or so on per extra person.
Having said that if she pre booked the taxi and they gave her the price without asking how many people would be going I doubt it would change.
Depends - if it's a minicab (private hire) company and they have quoted a fare then the cost may be exactly the same, or they may add an extra person charge of (perhaps) £1.

If it's a black cab (licensed taxi) then they will charge using a meter (so the £10 may only have been a guess anyway) and this will include a surcharge for each person travelling - the precise amounts differ depending on the licensing area.

Either way it won't be twice the single person fare - more like an extra £1 or so I think.

depends if her friend wants picking up from a different address. If from the same address as the sister then its no extra charge.
