When her mother met another bloke he kicked all her kids out, my mother never forgot this & never spoke to her mother again. To answer the question, I've never met any of my grand parents, although my grand mother was alive in the 70's.

No-and I never really knew them.
My mums mother died when I was 7-all I remember was an ancient Italian woman dressed all in black, who did not speak English. My maternal grandfather died before I was born-as did my father's father. My dads mum died when I was about 15-she was well into her 90's,but I'd never met her.
I really miss not having had grandparents-but had no idea so many others never knew theirs.

I never knew one of my grandfathers, well I can't remember him. He died when I was two. All three other grandparents lived well into their 80s/90s. I loved my maternal grandparents dearly and spent loads of time with them, living with them for some time when I was a bab/toddler and my mother was ill.
I'm 34 and I have my 2 grans left. My Mum's dad died before I was born, he was only 55 and my dad's dad died about 15 years ago.
My mum's mum is 80 and spends 8 months in her home in Italy and she stays here for 4 months over Christmas. She goes back next week.
My dad's mum is 76 and has a wicked sense of humour and lives in Southampton. I see her about 4 times a year.
