Mickey Dolenz wrote this song on a visit to England, and was very taken with the comedy show 'Til Death Us Do Part', where he heard the famous insult from Alf Garnet to his son-on-law - 'Lazy Scouse Git' and decided to title his song after the phrase - having absolutely no idea what it meant, or that it would be seen as offensive over here.
The record label told him he couldn't use the phrase, so he'd have to come up with an alternate title ... and he took them at their word.
Fantastic song - based on his experiences being feted by EMI Records, and 'the being known as "Wonder Girl"' - who was Samantha Juste, record spinner on the embryonic Top Of The Pops, and soon to be Mrs Dolienz.
