Stamps

I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on my proposal - with the cost of stamps due to go up dramatically, would quiz setters be willing to email their puzzles - some do already. It seems senseless to pay almost the equivalent of a pound to send off for a quiz and an SAE. I would much rather put an extra pound in for the charity.

I think JustGiving is great as it both saves me a lot of admin and lets donors see that their money has gone directly to the charity concerned.

I have been allowing a free download for a while for this very reason, and I will also email a set of answers to entrants if they would prefer to receive them that way. At the moment I am still only accepting entrys by mail as I haven't found a way of collecting entry fees electronically that I am happy with. Just Giving like the other sites do make a charge which is frequently funded by reclaiming Gift Aid, however the advice I have received is that you cannot claim Gift Aid on a quiz entry as it is not a pure donation, you are selling a quiz.
I purchased a 'buy now' button costing £1 on PayPal. It is the first time I have done it this way, but once PayPal receive money they email me and then I email an attachment of the quiz to the applicant. So far I am pleased with the results and have some happy quizzers. The quiz can either be emailed back to me or copied and posted. I charge 40p extra to cover PayPal administration.
