Mincemeat Slice
5oz margarine
3 oz sugar
4 oz oats
8 oz flour
8 oz mincemeat
Grease shallow dish. Melt margarine and add sugar. Stir in flour and oats. Spoon half the mixture into the tin, cover with the mincemeat and cover with the rest of the mixture. Press down firmly. Cook - either Gas No6 for about 20 mins or in microwave for about 6 mins. Cut whilst warm either into slices or squares..
This is one of my family's favourites, and is so quick to make. I make it all through the year.
