What is the telephone number for the Diesel Hotline?

Sorry once again if this is the wrong area for this question but it has been bugging me for years. Many many moons ago I heard on the radio that if you saw a smoky lorry or bus then you could phone up and report it to the authorities. All you did was get the registration number and then phone up to report the offending vehicle. I instantly forgot the phone number of this Diesel Hotline, though, and to this day have never been able to find it.

Can any of you enlighten me as to this elusive Diesel Hotline number?

Although at the moment local authorities do not have the power to act, the Department for Transport does - ring their enquiry unit on 0870 6060440.

Is there a dirty petrol hotline?.
I saw a Honda Jazz kicking out a lot of smoke a little while ago.
The police pulled it over. I noticed it was 03 registration.
I have had various Honda's and I do not recall a diesel Honda Jazz but I could be wrong.
