Like I said Ann I had a 5mp camera on my phone but I just stood there mesmerised . So no picture but I know in myself how lucky I was . I'm a bit of a science geek and have long dismissed ETs etc as unreliable evidence . At one point I thought is it a ... UFO .. well it wasn't identified and it was flying !
Yes, I saw it.
I just happened to glance out of the north facing kitchen window and a glow appeared. It was obviously dark and, without points of reference, at first I thought someone had sent up a firework but there was no long rocket tail.
I then thought Chinese lantern, but it was rising too fast. I then realised the trajectory was oddly flat for something released from the ground nearby and that I was actually seeing something sizeable and travelling quickly coming over the horizon. All those thoughts in a fraction of a second. As it passed from sight through the window, I rushed to the kitchen door and watched it disappear south.
Bright white and orange with a short tail of debris, I think I was very fortunate to see it. It was in sight for maybe ten seconds?
