Buying bike but not collecting in person.
I have bought a bike on eBay but I am getting it collected by a courier as i dont have the time to collect in person. has anyone ever done this and how do you go about getting paperwork (V5) signed etc... as im not going to be there to sign it.

1. He signs and dates Section 8 ;
2. He sends the V5C with the bike ;
3. You complete everything required on the V5C, photocopy it all, and post the front page (on the vendor's behalf) to DVLA at a Post Office (so that you obtain proof of posting ;
4. You photocopy the proof of posting, and send it by recorded delivery (together with the photocopy of the V5C) to the vendor.
If he doesn't agree with that, he'll have to send you the V5C so that you can complete the relevant sections, which you'll then post back to him by recorded delivery (so that he can then sign Section 8 and post the front page to DVLA).
