Its been doing it for weeks now, but I keep getting this pop up at bottom of screen saying "Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent post-site scripting". I click the red cross in corner to get rid of it and its back in a minute or so. Driving me mad!!

I'm getting that message at the top of my screen but not every time and only when I visit the AB site . In laymans terms cross site scripting is

I clicked submit before i'd finished and I have to add to the above post that that link is from a hacking site to show what a hacker can do if your security app did not modify the page -so its a good thing although a bit annoying - better than getting hacked!
Kristal53, that is fairly unhelpful and misunderstands what X-site scripting is in the majority of cases (although, of course, "hacking" is the most "exciting" case...)

The message is in reference to the way we serve ads. Because we serve Google ads the actual ad content comes from another site/is generated through the javascript, Internet Explorer blocks this because it looks like cross site scripting (which can be dangerous in a few cases).

No one is attempting to "hack" you or any of your accounts via the AnswerBank. We're just trying to keep the site profitable. Allowing cross-site scripting on AB should be entirely safe.

All the best,

Ed.
Ab - I'm sorry if my post read as if I was accusing the site of hacking - at no time did I think it would be the site fishing for stuff - please feel free to delete my post( please!) so I can wipe the egg of my face ;-)
Kristal53, I didn't think you were accusing us of it, but it's the kind of thing which could set alarm bells for others!
