Victorian military badge
I have come across a victorian military insignia and am trying to identify it. It is made of brass and is circular with a diameter of about 3 1/2 inches. The outer circle is a laurel wreath with the Queens crown in the centre and a small plaque under the crown presumably for some kind of engraving but is blank. There are two holes in the wreath at each side on the centre line for mounting on something, possibly it's been suggested a horses bridle. Anybody have any ideas?nter Further Question Details Here...

They however have never seen a badge like this. They assume that there was something engraved on the plaque below the crown but has been rubbed off with years of cleaning. They also assume it may be for a horses bridle because of its size. ype Your Answer Here...
This seems to be similar, it's just been sold for $9-50.
