I have to say, some people on TV have the most amazing wigs, even when you know that the actor is bald because he makes no secret of it off-screen.

Among the finest I've seen are Robson Green in Wire In The Blood, Mel Smith in Not The Nine O'Clock News, and Simon Day in The Fast Show - except his Billy Bleach character, where a bad wig makes the personna even funnier.

As I said, I notice he has a wig now "keeping with his age". The emphasis was on the last part cos I've always known he was bald.

Because he wore a wig on "Cheers" wasn't that why if anybody went near his head he would say "Not the hair! Don't touch the hair"?
