I need some new ideas.

Which (clean!) websites other than news and AB do you visit regularly?

Oh dear Maidup. Perhaps you shouldn't have stipulated 'clean'. Maybe you won't get many answers now. I personally go to topcashback, ebay and others like it just to see what's on offer even if I never buy anything. I also go onto Ancestry.com.
Rightmove to see what I could buy if I won the lottery, Facebook and -to my shame- twitter (only so I can see if my boss gives away anything important ;) )
Facebook, Digitalspy and Youtube are the main ones I use other than here, although beware, Digitalspy is not quite as friendly as here if you decide to venture over. Theres are good gardening/allotment forum if you're into that kind of thing, very friendly www.allotment.org.uk
You tube and google.

Thanks for reminding me about allotment Rocky - I have been there before but not for a while and its planting time again soon. I'll pop along.

I look at Facebook and Twitter occasionally even though I don't participate myself, just keep up with other people's news, but soon tire of it.

I also read a few blogs and call into the BBC site fairly regularly.

I spend a bit of time on the Tripadvisor too. Makes my smile when visitors to the UK try to pack in too much. The Forum isn't busy but can be fun when a post comes in about your home town/region.
My favourite site is "wimp.com" which shows hilarious clips of children and animals and also has some educational clips. It is perfectly clean.
I watch a few daily as there are so many. Those I like, I make a note of, and those of no interest to me I "skip" by clicking on the next button
you could try joining StumbleUpon http://www.stumbleupon.com/ which will suggest a lot of sites based on your preferences
def cheezeburger for a lot of time wasting looking at daft animals (mostly cats)
Stumble is great! I regularly lose hours of my life on that site.

You do get a bit of crap on there but I mostly look at the humour section and there are some gems.
Regularly is the awkward word. I find I'm usually frequenting one forum at a time, until I decide I have to break the addiction. Other sites are Google, Wikipedia occasionally, the news sites you don't want, A couple of genealogy sites (GenesReunited & Ancestry) and that's probably it. I have been to other sites in the past but no longer regularly go to them. Speaking of which, you may wish to feel good about yourself though and try www.thehungersite.com. I used to regularly go there, and its sister sites, but got out of the habit.

Thanks all a few things to look at there.

When e-mailing an American colleague with an accounting query, he replied with a screenshot detailing his ledger. In his system tray I could see he had an internet explorer window open at the page 'bigpussy'. Now with me having a soft spot for anything feline I remembered this, being fairly busy and not having time to look at work. And oh boy am I glad I only looked at it from my personal computer at home. It had nothing to do with cats.

Thanks Owlhammer that's excellent. Hours of fun.

I was a bit nervous of the site name but pleased I risked it ;-)

Book marked that for tomorrow.
