Mornin' all, I was looking at the Mail online and thought this might be of interest to those of you who follow what Susanna Reid is wearing. http://www.dailymail....-life-public-eye.html

I will soon be finishing my shift then home to my pit. Three shifts to do next week before this establishment closes for good due to government cutbacks. The closure will mark the end of part of the oldest operational airfield camp in England, being built before WW1 and with most of the original buildings still standing and listed. A sad time for all locals concerned.

morning, Its cool here Welshie. I think Park rose is still there but what they do there now I dont know. Havnt really been in a while. You will see a lot of changes, some good, some bad.
Hope we do get some summer as I like to get out doing some really long walks in summer days off. I have walked from Brid to Hornsea all along the beach 14 miles. You have to catch the tide just right. Its a beautiful walk, especially setting off about 7 am when theres hardly anyone about.

When mam had a caravan at Reighton Gap, we used to walk up to Filey along the beach when we could - that's going back into the mid 60s when I was 10 or 11 (45/46 years ago) - doesn't time fly!!

good morning each. thank goodness the mist/fog has gone. youngest driving down overnight and i was worried with the weather being so bad. not here yet so they have stoppped on the way for a rest. hope that is all it is.

Morning all - disappointing forecast again today for the East Midlands. Dreary misty and dark cloud all day yesterday (lifted 5.30pm!) and blooming cold about 8 deg...... same again for today weather lady just said! :( Where is that gorgeous forecast for a week of Spring weather and high teens temps they promised us at the start of the week? Sunday was beautiful - one day! Would rather have it frosty and sunny than this dreary murky cloud.

alba thank goodness they have arrived safely and after a hot drink have gone to have a bit of a rest. two diversions on the way down which extended the journey. unfortunately they could not start travelling until grand-daughter finished her shift at midnight but at least they are here safely. i am sure we will think of something to do when they wake up.
