Sorry, didn't know where else to put it. Bought something on eBay, didn't get it. contacted seller, etc, etc. Opened case with eBay - seller provided proof of purchase andebay have closed my case!!!! Out of pocket and no purchase - what am I supposed to do now? (only £11 but it's the principle!!!!).

@joko.............oooops have read it now! Sorry
That poor seller! Hope you didn't /don't give them bad feedback as they (and Ebay themselves) have done nowt wrong!
This is not lost in the post. It has been delivered but not to you. You cant take this further unless it is not delivered to your neighbour and only you can check this. As someone else said this is a neighbour problem and not an ebay one. I once lost a ring as I posted it without proof of posting. Person said it had not turned up, so I lost the ring and had to refund £50 to buyer. It was my fault for not getting proof of posting so learnt my lesson there.
Ask a friend to go and xollect it on your behalf and get then to take copy of proof of delivery. If they don't give it to you then contact police and show then the evidence.

Are you getting your PoP's confused with signed for mail?
a PoP doesn't require a signature so there is no way you would know where your parcel is/was
And a PoP will not prove delivery which is what PP require to ensure you get a refund, so it must be a signed for package
