Celestial Alignment 2012. What will we see?
Apparently, the planets in our solar system will be in celestial alignment in December this year. When that happens, how does it look when we look into the sky?

If they were all aligned, bearing in mind that if the outer planets were visible then the inner ones would be invisible as they would be on the day side of the earth, then you would only see Mars, Jupiter and Saturn with the naked eye if they were all three the same side of the sun as the Earth. So, hardly spectacular, most peope wouldn't notice it as per the last time it happened.If the outer planets were the other side of the sun you wouldn't see any of them.
