Printing a 4 X 6 photo.
10 Answers
Can anyone help me please?
I have a HP photosmart C4600 series 3 in 1 printer, and I wish to print a 4X6 borderless photo.
Using the photo printing wizard, I have set it to print borderless, on 4 X6 HP advanced printing paper, at the best quality, and landscape orientation.
I have set the paper face down in the correct position, but the problem is it only prints just over half of the photo and leaves the rest blank.
What could the problem be please?

Whichever it is make sure the file is in the same orientation as the printer....in your case landscape.
I keep my HP printer in portrait and rotate pics 90 degrees if needs be just before printing....
Nothing else to suggest sorry.

It seems to me a file that is not 6x4 ratio would look rather odd if made to fit on a 6x4 paper...especially if people were on it.
If you want a print of 6"x4" then the .jpg needs to be cropped to that ratio..... and then print size set to 6"x4".....easy in Photoshop but don't know about other software.

Thank you but that seems a long way round when there is a photo printing wizard.
But I did as you said ;
1.Insert your picture to Word
2.Go to file/Page setup
3.Choose Landscape
4.Pull picture to fill page
But that is where I came to a problem, I could not pull the picture enough to fill the page, it wouldn't allow me to.
Via the photo printing wizard, I set up the photo for printing 4 X 6 but left my stack of A4 printing papers in the printer.
I then let it print, the page came our and the 6 X 4 photo was printed perfectly in the bottom left corner of the landscaped A4.
Thank you mccfluff also for your answer.

Thanks for your reply.
No there isn't I'm afraid.
But the photo printing wizard gives many options, such as full page or multiple images on one page etc.
On the few occasions in the past that I printed a 6X4 photo it has worked perfectly ok.
I can see no reason whatsoever why it does not print a 6X4 now.
