Getting periods back?

My last depo injection was due end of December but I decided to come off it. I know it can take a long time for periods to return and I had been having it for around five years so I'm not worried about it taking time but for quite a while now I've been getting mild cramps in my stomach on a regular basis and my boobs hurt like hell.

Is this a sign the dreaded cycle is about to begin again? Anyone got experience of coming off the depo?

Took me quite a while after I came off it, about 18 months and did have quite a few PMT style moodswings with it as did another former colleague. It put me off going back on it to be honest, I loved the convenience though and having no periods and have considered it again verses the pill (for helping with PCOS issues).

People are different though, I'm sure it hadn't taken so long coming off it previously.

I know what you mean Jenna, it's been quite nice not having any periods for the past 5 years but now I no longer in need of contraceptive then I felt it might be a good idea to give my body a little break for a while.

Just wish the bloody thing would make its mind up if it's coming or not. Fed up of not being able to cross my arms without wincing.
It's horrible isn't it, just wish it'd do it's thing :) I was suggested to come off to give my body a break, something to do with the hormones. Did ok that time from memory but it was coming off again after I went back on I had the problems.

I'm currently having a lovely time (not) due to totm issues with one of my post surgery wounds under my belly button...urgh. Was bloated and in pain enough as it was thanks haha!
9 months for me

Oh no, that sounds awful. Don't envy you. Hope it all starts getting better soon.

Did you both get the symptoms i mentioned above shortly before your period returned?
From memory (quite a while back now) it was more the evil pmt until the realisation that's what it was (that great relief moment you're not cracking up haha). I get a lot of tummy cramping and bloating, get headachey and skin going uck most times when due on anyway though potentially made worse with the PCOS and often not that regular, at the moment about 3 weekly hence musings about going back on and getting some relief rather than the pill with the break.

I'm healing up good :) At least this pain is a means to an end so all good :)
