leap day birthday - 29th Feb- help!

What do you buy for someone born on a leap year on 29th feb, when this year, 2012, is a leap year - so their actual birthday?
My Dad is a leap year day birthday.
He'll be 60 this year but will only actually be his 15th real (29th feb) birthday.
Would you go down the 15 route or the 60 route?!!
I just don't know!

Most people who are 60 are 60 but only a minority are 15. Make him special with presensts reflecting. Imagine a 15 year old with the knowledge and experience of a 60 year old. Not everyone can be 15 at 60.

Did he ever want to do something at 15 but couldn't, wasn't allowed to etc? If so give him a treat. We are all young at hear - i am and I was 60 in June last year.

Im also 60 on 29th Feb this year. Snap. My OH is treating me to a lovely few days away at a luxury hotel with a swimming pool, spa and various massages. It was my idea of heaven (not because he thinks I need it ). Im really looking forward to it.
Go down the 60th birthday path. Ive had so many jokes poked at me over the years about not acting my age etc. Ive got 2 bottles of champs put away to take with us and we are meeting up with our son in London, for my actual birthday.

Isn't your Dad technically only 14? As the year 2000 was not a leap year, he has only technically had 14 of his 60 birthdays ;). By the way, in the event of a normal year does he celebrate his birthday on the 28 Feb or the 1 March?

2000 was a leap year, it's divisible by 400.
