The Chest Hospital have said that Fabrice Muamba has been able to breathe without the aid of a Ventilator. He has managed to say a few words in both English and French and has recognised some of the visitors to his bedside.
I know the kid has got a long way to go to recover, but the longest journey starts with one small step. I just pray that he continues to improve gradually and the experts wil ldo everythign in their power to help him.

I hope he continues to get better and my thoughts are for him and his family. Anybody with any compassion in their body will be wishing him well, it does not matter whether he is a person in the public eye of not. God Bless Fabrice, continue to get well.
if good CPR was done but I'm just guessing it sounds more like a VF arrest and it may be his heart was externally paced for the time it took to get him to a cardiac centre this combined with artificial ventilation would reduce the risk of brain damage ... only they referred to his heart not beating by itself for 2 hours rather than not beating at all
