Attempted rape and GBH sentence

Can anyone tell me what the sentence is likely to be for attempted rape and GBH? The offender has previous convictions for violence (different victim). The injuries received involve tearing to the vagina, bruised head and jaw and various scratches.

The victim in this case is my daughter and the offender her ex boyfriend.

I could show this to my consultant who works at the Haven if you like but I don't know that it would actually offer you more in the way of information? Or I could ask one of the police I deal with but again, I don't know that I'd get any more info than you currently have :-/

I'm sorry this has happened to your daughter love, I'm happy to do either of those options if you would like me to but I think you probably can get all this information yourself and I've nothing else helpful to add other than I hope they catch him soon and he gets a prison sentence.

I could maybe get recommendations for good gynae or women urology surgery maybe? Would that be helpful?

I hope they catch the b*s**rd ASAP. Keep us updated if they find him etc.

China, my daughter has already seen the gynaecologist and is now on his list for urgent repair, although she may also have to have a skin graft if the skin is too damaged.

Just wanted to update and say he still hasn't been caught.

I'm so sorry to hear about this - this recently affected myself, in the presence of my poor 7 year old son. The event happend end of 2010 but with the trial only in 2011, still feels very fresh. I received similar injuries but penetration was obtained. There wasnt an inch on my body that wasnt bruised,torn etc but he only got charged for ABH (along with sexual assault with penetration). He got 5 years (will only serve half tho!!!, then out on licence. He has previous too which was not 'allowed' to be mentioned in court so as 'not to sway the jury'. Its a terrible ordeal and my strength is only found for my son, along with trying to help others go through the crap system in order to get some, albeit very little, justice. Please contact me if I can help in any way, talk you through each step etc. I am currently working with my MP to try and make overdue changes.
