To restart and get moving again.
I just restart and drive off, no problem, it happens.
Do people stall their cars?
Start again and give a hand wave / nod of apology to car behind me
When I was young acute embarrassment now I just laugh it off (very rare for me as my own car is an automatic).
Just restart and drive away no problem.
awww jack's link made me think what's happened to space-cadet and sara?
Its about time the plugs were changed.
I say "bloody car". This wouldn't have happened with my old toyota.
I would love to have experienced this but can only drive automatic being as I'm differently abled (cripped). Always feel for the learner drivers when I'm behind them though.
I once managed to stall a diesel (not very easy) which was an automatic (almost impossible). Beat that! First reaction is to hope, in slight panic, that the thing will restart, because it may have stalled for some other reason than my negligence.
Fred - I drive an automatic and I thought it was impossible to stall them, so I'm very impressed. How did you do that? Not that I want to, I'm just curious.
kiki, I was running the engine very slowly, hit sudden rising ground and it just stalled. I've had automatics for 40 years and that's the only time I've achieved that. And the car didn't do it again, so i never bothered to find out why it did it . It was a small seciond car, say 1,2 litre, but I can't now remember what make.
