My outdoor tap has stopped working. When I turn it on it just drips
Will a plumber come out for such a small job?

You don't need a plumber Ric.ror........... not a lady of your capabilities ;o) If it's not an airlock, then the washer has stuck down on its seat over a period of non-use. Turn it on and tap the body of the tap to see if you can dislodge it.
Failing that, ask the nice man next door if he has an adjustable spanner to unscrew the valve body to have a look inside. (For...

Had this problem so did my neighbour, just open the garden tap and leave it for a couple of hours, probably air lock. Worked for both of us.
The washer perished in mine during the winter months. It was simple to replace
£30...............

I won't ask the man next door (I'm a lady with a chain saw don't you know)
I will buy my own spanner if I need one - will come in next time I need one

This would unscrew the tap valve if necessary. It would be useful for a whole lot of other tasks as well :o)
