Lots of petrol stations in town have closed because they've "run out of petrol". Have they really or are they just trying to stop the panic buying?

Imagine what things will be like if a strike is announced. As a "non panicer", managed to fill up at 7am today. I noticed a tanker in the forecourt yesterday evening. It was already busy this morning!
