Google Chrome

I wonder if any of our AB's can help me please? I am on Google.com and get details of Google Chrome coming through and suggestions about changing over but am not really sure about it.
My questions are;
Is there any advantage to downloading Chrome?
Would it be as well as or instead of just plain Google?
I'm not very computer friendly and am really flummoxed about this.

Most people will say that chrome is a better browser than internet explorer (including me) but in my opinion the difference is not as great with the more recent versions of IE than it once was so as long as you are using the latest version of IE there's not a huge reason to change if your happy with IE.
That said, there's not reason why you can't try it out and see what you think, if you don't like it simply uninstall it and go back to using IE.
