I have never bothered and haven't had any problems touching wood. Am on my second iphone and third year of having one.

Well actually it doesn't as that article is aimed at Android.

there has been a lot of issues with Android malware as there's little control of the market place.

Apple control the available apps better which means that they have up to now had much less difficulties with malware

Ok, but what about using safari and going on websites that may have potential virus. Is the phone protected that way because my understanding is that it isn't.
