Well, it has just been adapted for religious purposes so no doubt those strange traditions are from a long way in the past and are connected to other celebrations.

Well the Friday ball will continue in our family, my wife has bought our grandson a mini basketball, i'm sure he wont be bothered why he reveived it.

Think I must have missed the R E lesson but what happened to Jesus after Easter? I can't remember ever hearing the rest of the story.

We only buy one for the MIL as she is very religous. I do really think they are a rip off, especially if we now have to post them at todays rates

Yes, we have pancakes on pancake day, hot cross buns on Good Friday, Easter cards sent and received, and on Easter Sunday the Easter bunny hides easter eggs all around the lounge, behind the curtains, in the shoes, under the table etc etc, and the kids find them on Easter Sunday morning when they wake up. Very exciting. And we used to go to church too, but not this year.
