Below are true newspapers headlines/titles that were printed:I was sent this as an email..

"Man kills self before shooting wife and daughter"
After editor was notified of this it him 3 readings to realise that what he had printed was impossible!

"Something went wrong in jet crash,Expert says"
No,really??

"Police begin campaign to run down jaywalkers"
Now that's taking thinga s bit too far!

"Panda mating fails, vet takes over"
What a guy!

"Miners refuse to work after death"
Lazy buggers!

"Juvenile court to try shooting defendant"
May work better than a fair trial!

"War dims hope for peace"
I can see where it might have that effect.....

"If strike isnt settled wuickly, it may last a while"
Doh!

There was one years ago, a newspaper was reporting on a court case wrote, evidence was given by a defective in the police force. The following week they issued an apology and wrote, he is of course a detective in the police farce.

there was once an apology (allegedly) where a newspaper said they'd accidentally called a general "bottle-scarred".

They explained they'd meant to say "battle-scared".

a friend of the family subscribed to an engineering magazine only to be frustrated by hundreds of mistkes monthly which he highlighted and sent back every month . eventually a copy arrived early with a note kindly asking if he would proof read it for them ?
