indicators have stopped working completely...

I have checked the fuses - they are fine

They do not light up , nor does anyting happen inside... no 'dink dink' noise or dashboard light

Everything else is fine

Are you sure the fuses are OK Joko? what happens when you put on your Hazards?

indicator flasher unit,mine packed in on my escort, the unit on mine is on the steering column

thanks all...havent tried hazards yet...its a button on dash.. normal lights work, wil try later
i checked all fuses and all looked fine - i swapped the relevant one anyway and it made no diffetence
its a vw passat estate auto 2002
no sure what indicator flasher unit is? do you mean the stalk to operate them?

The unit is the relay, that's the one you hear ticking when the indicators are activated, normally it is below the steering column.

thanks all - surprisingly today - they work again!

i am gobsmacked...i sat on the kerb for about half an hour faffing about with the manual and fuses etc, but nothing changed...

any ideas why they would stop working temporarily?
